<p>If you're searching for a gas-powered vehicle, the RLX's 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 is a true workhorse, capable of 310 horsepower and up to 272 lb-ft of torque. This option comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters.</p><p>The hybrid RLX is an amazing choice thanks to superb efficiency as well as power rarely seen in the hybrid market. Featuring the same 310-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 as the gasoline RLX, this version also has an electric motor to power the front wheels and two additional motors to control the rear wheels. When you add it all together, the RLX Sport Hybrid pumps out 377 horsepower and 341 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission comes standard. All trims offer front-wheel or all-wheel drive.</p>
Performance
<p>While the hybrid is the obvious choice for advanced fuel economy, the gasoline-powered RLX is still respectable, thanks to its Variable Cylinder Management, which deactivates cylinders to improve fuel economy. It gets up to 31 miles per gallon (mpg) on the highway and 20 mpg in the city. In addition, it cruises from zero to 60 in just 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 133 mph.</p><p>The RLX Sport Hybrid's fuel economy increases to 32 mpg, while city driving gets a dramatic boost to 28 mpg. Unlike any other hybrid on the market, the Sport Hybrid outpaces the regular RLX with a zero-to-60 time of 5.0 seconds.</p>
Interior
<p>Standard features on both RLX trims include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an 8-inch touch-screen display, automatic tri-zone climate control, leather seating, a 14-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and navigation.</p><p>The Advance Package contributes heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, a premium sound system, and a remote engine start.</p>

<p>The 2017 RLX received a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration*** thanks to a number of phenomenal safety features.
